Shortly after returning home, INFINITUM OBSCURE is set to enter Skull Seven Studios in North Hollywood CA, once again with veteran Metal producer Bill Metoyer, to record their new full length album; the follow up to 2009's highly praised Sub Atris Caelis.

  

A specific recording date has not been set yet but will be announced along with the album title once the band has completed their first European run.

Sub Atris Caelis is available on CD through Deathgasm Records and on vinyl through Blood Harvest Records.

KALIBOS - Frozen Souls of a Mystical Winter

Aquí hay algo extraño  jodido metal Negro de Kalibos. Kalibos era la preocupación de los dos jóvenes alemanes que se hacen llamar Charondeimos Schagrath y Fobos.

Another nugget nicked from the treasure trove that is the Terminal Escape blog. Noisy Death Rocking Punk goodness from Chicago. There is something particularly inviting about the general atmosphere of this recording, captures an authentic '80s vibe perfectly. Reminds me of a bit TSOL's better stuff, Cortex, Christian Death and black nail polish.

Sorrows - Threads

Sorrows third EP Threads, released earlier this year, picks up where Lethe left off, taking the band's initial foundation and widening it. I use the word widening because the group have not exactly 'advanced' in the common sense of the word, having simply taken the atmospheric USBM style and remodelled it into a slight variant.

Threads is a single track that goes for a little under 15 minutes, and in my opinion handles atmosphere and mood very delicately. While this of course works well in the EP format, I am interested to see if Sorrows can translate their potential into a full length. If you're keen on bands like Fell Voices, Ash Borer or several of the Canadian 'depressive-esque' bands (Gris, Sombres Forets), then Threads is well worth hearing.

Temas Dolores terceros EP, publicado a principios de este año, recoge que dejó Leteo, teniendo fundamento inicial de la banda y la ampliación de la misma. Yo uso la ampliación palabra, porque el grupo no tienen exactamente "avanzado" en el sentido común de la palabra, después de haber tomado simplemente el estilo USBM atmosférica y remodelado en una ligera variante.

Temas es una sola pista que va por un poco menos de 15 minutos, y en mi opinión se encarga de la atmósfera y el estado de ánimo con mucha delicadeza. Si bien esto, por supuesto, funciona bien en el formato EP, estoy interesado en ver si los Dolores puede traducir su potencial en una longitud total.
