Burzum persists. A new Burzum album, titled "Umskiptar" (Metamorphoses), is scheduled for release in May 2012 on Byelobog Productions. "Umskiptar" consists of 65 minutes of skaldic metal, recorded in Grieghallen Studio in Bergen in September 2011.

"El" Umskiptar "álbum es también una vuelta a la raíces-álbum para mí, con un fuerte enfoque en la atmósfera y la integridad en lugar de cualquier otra cosa. Las voces en éste sin embargo, son más importantes que en cualquier otro disco, con un total de 66 estrofas, algunas de ellas incluso repite unas cuantas veces, lo que representa las letras del disco las voces son muy importantes para la atmósfera especial y son más importantes que en ningún álbum Burzum otra parte, y más variado demasiado -. y honesta como se pone ".
El concepto del álbum es "Umskiptar" (Inglés = "Metamorfosis"), una arraigada Europea (es decir, pagano) estoico concepto de cambios. Este concepto fue elegido en un mundo en dirección a una nueva Edad de Hielo, y por lo tanto también puede ser visto como una crítica de todos los movimientos populares políticos de nuestra época de mentiras ". The lyrics on "Umskiptar" are all taken from a Norse poem, Völuspá. For an English translation of the lyrics see the book "Sorcery And Religion In Ancient Scandinavia".
"The "Umskiptar" album is also a return-to-the-roots album for me, with a strong focus on atmosphere and wholeness rather than anything else. The vocals on this one however are more important than on any other album, with a total of 66 stanzas, some of them even repeated a few times, making up the lyrics of the album. The vocals are very important for the special atmosphere and are more important than on any other Burzum album, and more varied too – and as honest as it gets".
The concept of the album is "Umskiptar" (English = "Metamorphoses"), a deeply rooted European (i.e. Pagan) Stoic concept of changes. This concept was chosen in a world heading for a new Ice Age, and can therefore also be seen as critique of all the popular political movements of our age of lies". (V.V.)
